MATERIALITY: Aesthetics
Materials shape the spaces around us. This series of events examines the tactile, structural,
and visual qualities of the materials used in architecture practice.
The fall series focuses on the aesthetic and poetic attributes of materiality in architecture.
How do different environments evoke certain effects or sensations? Do they reinforce or
challenge cultural norms? These conversations move beyond images of architecture to
explore mass and matter.
