Vertical Urban Factory
Vertical Urban Factory, is a think tank founded by architectural historian and critic Nina Rappaport that bridges both academic research and a consultancy to architects, urban planners, and city agencies on urban manufacturing space and the value of industry for productive cities especially on how to continue former industrial sites for industrial use. It began with research, seminars, and an architecture studio in 2008. Extensive investigations culminated in a traveling exhibition in 2011 and a 480-page book published by Actar in 2016.
