Carnegie Mellon University’s Center for Architecture Explorations (CAE) is hosting a month-long exhibition at Assemble in Garfield from May 4-25, 2018. The exhibition, titled “Know Y(Our) Neighborhood,” will display the architectural design work of creative thinkers from 6 year-olds to architectural professionals related to eight neighborhoods in the city:

  • East Liberty
  • Garfield
  • Homewood
  • Larimer
  • Lawrenceville
  • Lower Hill
  • Millvale
  • Wilkinsburg

The exhibition launches Friday, 4 May 2018 as an interactive exploration of Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods and the people and spaces that define them.

The CAE seeks students and faculty who are interested in the opportunity to display their work in the exhibition. Work can include sketches, drawings, and/or models from a project in one or more of the neighborhoods listed above. We can re-print, copy, or photograph work and would accept models as well. Please let us know if you would like to contribute to the exhibition and when we could gather your work prior to Saturday 28 April.
