Cities have their own visual and spatial language that people use to understand and navigate through their bodies. Urban planner, community activist, and artist James Rojas will discuss his hands-on technique for engaging communities and humanizing the planning process in order to build a relationship with the public and create a safe space for participants to reveal, respect, and translate their knowledge and experiences into the planning process. In the second half of the evening we will engage in an immersive, hands-on workshop.
