The School of Architecture is pleased to announce that Assistant Teaching Professor Ömer Karaguzel, PhD, WELL AP has earned the LEED AP Building Design + Construction (BD+C) credential, placing him amongst an elite group of leading professionals with expertise in green building and the LEED BD+C rating system. The credential signifies leadership in the field and active participation in the green building movement. As a credentialed professional, Ömer possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design process, support and encourage integrated design, and to streamline the LEED application and certification processes to help projects save energy, user fewer resources, reduce pollution, and contribute to healthier environments for the occupants and the community.
