EX-CHANGE 2020 Launches Fri 04 Sep with Events through Sun 13 Sep

The Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture is pleased to announce that the 2020 edition of EX-CHANGE launches Friday 04 September, with events running through Sunday 13 September.

EX-CHANGE is the SoA’s annual exhibition, publication, and series of events celebrating the work of the school from first year through PhD. Inaugurated in 2017, EX-CHANGE represents an ongoing opportunity to shine new light on the SoA’s programs and to position the work within larger questions of research and practice.

The 2020 edition of EX-CHANGE features:

  • An online exhibition launching at exchange.soa.cmu.edu Friday 04 September at 5:00pm EST, set to music by DJ HUNY for the first 24 hours.

  • Print copies of the catalog available by mail or in-person pickup; request your copy by completing this form.

  • Virtual events between September 04-13 organized by AIAS, NOMAS, and inter·punct.

Every year EX-CHANGE is designed and produced by a team of talented faculty and students. This year’s EX-CHANGE was led by Sarah Rafson, Talia Perry, Jeremy Ficca, Lola Ben-Alon, and Meredith Marsh. Thanks to Rachel Lu (B.Arch '21), the 2019–20 Editorial Fellow who edited the catalog, and particularly students Lydia Randall, Jason Garwood, Mohammed Rahman, Christoph Eckrich, and Sam Losi, among others, who helped build the exhibition.

We hope you enjoy the show. Let us know what you think! We look forward to another year of thoughtful research and design.
