UDream’s program titled University Community Engagement was held on Thursday May 13. During this 90 minute workshop, a brief overview of the UDream program was provided and then the relationships between diverse communities, universities, and the field of architecture as a whole were discussed.
The session involved leaders from Architecture + Design programs within Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), and Pennsylvania universities along with UDream alumni. Our session was facilitated by the UDream team including Dr. Erica Cochran Hameen, Jenna Wizzard Kappelt, and Ray Gastil of CMU; and Alicia Volcey, NOMA PGH President Emeritus.
