Carnegie Mellon Architecture Awards $100,000 to ...

Carnegie Mellon Architecture is proud to announce the 2024 awardees for the PJ Dick Innovation Fund Faculty Grants Program. A total of $100,000 has been awarded to 16 project and teaching grant proposals. Established in 2023 by PJ Dick Trumbull Lindy Group, the program supports faculty research and teaching innovations that address the school’s three pedagogical challenges of climate change, social justice and artificial intelligence.

Spring 2024 Architecture Awards: Applications ...

Carnegie Mellon Architecture is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Spring 2024 Awards. Applications are due on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11:59pm ET. Over $44,000 of funding is available to support undergraduate and graduate students (Master’s and PhD). Awards recognize student work in public interest design, design and representation, sustainability, and real estate, as well as professional promise.

M.Arch Program Receives 8-Year NAAB Continuing ...

Our Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree program has received an eight year term of Continuing Accreditation with a Plan to Correct from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Congratulations to Track Chair Sarosh Anklesaria and former Track Chair Kai Gutschow and the Master of Architecture students, staff and faculty.

Applications Open for 2022-23 Visiting Professorships

We invite applications for the 2022-23 Ann Kalla Professorship in Architecture and the Joseph F. Thomas Visiting Professorship. We welcome early to mid-career practitioners, scholars and studio educators with focused research and/or creative work interested in teaching. If your creative work is breaking new ground, you will find an encouraging, stimulating environment to support your explorations. Applications due on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 11:59pm ET. Employment begins in August 2022.

Announcing the 2021 Joseph F. Thomas and Ann Kalla Visiting Professors

The School of Architecture is pleased to announce the 2021 Joseph F. Thomas Visiting Professor, Jackie Joseph Paul McFarland, and the 2021 Ann Kalla Visiting Professor, Tommy CheeMou Yang. Professors McFarland and Yang will be joining us from Chicago and New York respectively. This fall, they will be offering seminars aligned with their research and teaching in our first and second year studios. In the spring, they will be offering Options studios.
