Zhiang Zhang will present the defense for the dissertation, "Whole Building Energy Model Assisted HVAC Supervisory Control via Reinforcement Learning," to obtain the PhD in Building Performance & Diagnostics (PhD-BPD) on Wednesday 11 September at 8:30am in the MMCH 415 IW Large Conference Room.
SoA PhD Students & Faculty Receive Outstanding Paper Award at IBPC 2018
PhD candidates Zhiang Zhang and Chenlu Zhang, and Professor Khee Poh Lam, recently received an Outstanding Paper Award at the 7th International Building Physics Conference (IBPC) for their paper entitled “A Deep Reinforcement Learning Method for Model-based Optimal Control of HVAC Systems,” one of only six papers to receive an award at the conference.
