UDBS HOME RECONSIDERED FINAL REVIEW POSTER 01.jpg

The Urban Design Build Studio (UDBS) would be delighted if you could join us for a review and discussion of UDBS work on the RE_CON housing prototypes and HOME Inc.UBATOR community engagement/education tool. The UDBS Final Semester Review will be held on Monday 20 November from 4:30-6:30pm in the College of Fine Arts Alumni Concert Hall, CFA 136.

Work being discussed has been developed as part of the HOME RE_CONSIDERED Studio and SCALING CHANGE Elective Course which have focused on Housing, Strategies for the De-Concentration of Poverty, and Concepts of Universal Affordability. The UDBS and partners are preparing for an ELDI Community Planning Review Presentation in support of the RE_CON 01 Housing prototype. Review and discussion will be utilized to help advance that effort and set the table for next semester’s development work.

The UDBS is a vertically integrated, interdisciplinary studio that includes students from the SoA's B.Arch ASOS, M.Arch, AECM, and IDeATe Reality Computing programs. The studio has been generously funded and supported by Ford Motor Company, The Heinz Endowments, and Autodesk. Work is being executed in collaboration with East Liberty Development Corporation (ELDI). The review is part of the HOME RE_CONSIDERED/SCALING CHANGE exhibit which will be mounted in the CFA Great Hall from Saturday 18 November through Monday 27 November. The UDBS and IDeATe Reality Computing will be holding a demonstration of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies being developed for the HOME Inc.UBATOR on Monday 20 November from 2:00-3:00pm in CFA’s Great Hall, next to the exhibit.

We hope that you will be able to join us!
