Thanks to all who joined us this week for our thought-provoking lecture series discussion with David Lewis on the topic of “Communities by Design”. The event marked the world premiere of a new short film by the AIA: Urban Design Associates: The David Lewis Legacy, which can now be viewed at the link below.

The SoA extends our thanks to David Lewis, Bill Bates, and Ray Gindroz for participating in the panel discussion and to all of the attendees who came out to show their support.

David Lewis, FAIA, has been one of the most influential architects of the past half-century. Exiled for his anti-apartheid activities, he came to the United States at the height of the civil rights movement and helped pioneer a new orientation to the public from professionals engaged in city-building.
