Join us in congratulating faculty member Daragh Byrne for receiving the 2017 Teaching Innovation Award from the CMU Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence & Educational Innovation.
Daragh's teaching innovation in the Introduction to Media Synthesis and Analysis course through IDeATe has not only fostered interdisciplinary collaboration at CMU, but through his instructional support platform, “The Gallery,” has extended the classroom bounds to create an immersive, truly impactful learning experience focused on student engagement and feedback. This unique effort is highly representative of the kind of creative and forward-thinking teaching that this award is designed to recognize.
The award will be presented during the annual Celebration of Education award ceremony on Thursday, April 27.
