The School of Architecture invites all fifth-year Bachelor of Architecture students graduating this spring to apply for the John Knox Shear Memorial Traveling Award. Applications are due at 11:59pm EST on Monday, 13 May 2019.

The John Knox Shear Award is the highest honor granted by the faculty of the School of Architecture to a graduating student in the Bachelor of Architecture program. The award recognizes exceptional design and representation as demonstrated through studio work within the last two years of the Bachelor of Architecture program. In enabling a substantial travel experience, the award encourages an understanding and analysis of the built environment through direct engagement. The awardee, as selected by SoA faculty, is announced at commencement. The award amount is $10,000.

Applicants are asked to submit a digital portfolio that curates the design work from their final two years of studio in response to the 2019 theme Iterations. More information about the application process and requirements is available on the SlideRoom submission site.

We invite eligible students to apply for this prestigious award and look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our graduates during the School of Architecture Diploma Ceremony on Saturday 18 May.
