The annual DesignIntelligence survey of America's Best Architecture & Design Schools is now open—and we need your input! DI's annual rankings serve as a resource for evaluating architecture and design programs on their ability to prepare graduates for professional practice.

For the past 19 years, DesignIntelligence has conducted and published the results of the America's Best Architecture & Design Schools survey, which asks hiring professionals, academics, and students to provide their perspectives on the strengths of programs throughout the United States. The results will be published as the 2019 America's Top Ranked Architecture & Design Schools.

The Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture ranked #11 overall among undergraduate programs and placed top-ten in 9 of 12 focus areas this past year. We are proud of our ability to prepare students to be excellent, discipline-defining design thinkers in diverse global contexts. In the twenty-first century, few architecture problems are straightforward. SoA graduates excel in the roles architects have performed for centuries—and in new roles catalyzed by the depth and breadth of their education—to create and execute innovative solutions to a wide range of emerging global challenges.

Your participation is critical in influencing the results, as these annual surveys are a leading resource to rank architecture programs and are used widely by prospective students and the industry.

To recognize these strengths through our rankings, we strongly encourage your participation in the 2019-2020 survey. If you are a person in your firm who hires architects, you are invited to share your experiences and perspectives through the Hiring Professional Survey. If you are a current student, or recently graduated within the past two years, you are invited to complete the Recent Graduate / Student Survey. Academics, chairs, and deans are asked to complete the Deans Survey.

The deadline to complete the surveys is FRIDAY, 31 MAY 2019.

Our programs are defined by the accomplishments and strengths of our alumni, and this survey helps to capture these important successes and key areas of distinction. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful and confidential participation and for taking the time to complete this survey. The SoA appreciates your support!
