Associate Professor Dana Cupkova's design practice EPIPHYTE Lab recently received Honorable Mention in Architecture MasterPrize’s (AMP) 2019 Firm of the Year Award in the Interior Design / Residential Interior Design category.
EPIPHYTE Lab is an architectural design and research practice based in Pittsburgh that engages in the design of the built environment at the intersection of matter, ecology, thermodynamics, and computationally driven processes. As a collaborative platform, EPIPHYTE Lab recognizes the contributions of its many talented team members, including friends, students, and colleagues.
The Firm of the Year Award recognizes architecture firms’ total body of work while taking into consideration company resources and specializations. For the award, the AMP jury evaluated small, medium, and large companies on their own terms, based on the dimensions of Design Excellence, Innovation & Contribution, and Expertise.
AMP’s mission is to advance the appreciation and exposure of quality architectural design worldwide. The AMP architecture award celebrates creativity and innovation in the fields of architectural design, landscape architecture, and interior design. The competition welcomes submissions from architects all around the world.
