Dana Cupkova Invited to Serve as a Scientific Chair for Symposium on Simulation for Architecture and Urban Design Vienna 2020

Associate Professor Dana Cupkova was invited to serve as a scientific chair for the 2020 SimAUD Conference. SimAUD2020 will be held at TU Wien in Austria May 25-27, 2020. The call for submissions is now open; the paper deadline is 22 December 2019.

Dana Cupkova Presents at Living Architecture Systems Group (LASG) Symposium 2019, Publishes White Paper on Psychosomatic Architecture with Daragh Byrne

Associate professor Dana Cupkova presented her design and research work at the 2019 Living Architecture Systems Group Symposium (LASG), and contributed to the 2019 LASG White Paper book with a paper co-authored by SoA assistant teaching professor Daragh Byrne titled Towards Psychosomatic Architecture: Attuning Reactive Architectural Materials Through Biofeedback.

Professors Joshua Bard and Dana Cupkova Publish in the Construction Robotics Journal

Associate professor Joshua Bard and assistant professor Dana Cupkova recently published an article entitled “Robotic concrete surface finishing: A Moldless approach to creating thermally tuned surface geometry for architectural building components using Profile-3D-Printing” in the Construction Robotics Journal. Their research is supported by CMU’s Manufacturing Futures Initiative.
