Associate Professor Joshua Bard presented two papers at the ETH in Zurich for the 2018 Association for Robotics in Architecture Conference (Rob|Arch). The papers reflect the ongoing contributions of the School of Architecture in the fields of robotic construction and additive manufacturing.

Josh presented the collaborative research he and Assistant Professor Dana Cupkova are conducting on profile-3D-printing of complex concrete building components. Josh also presented a paper on behalf of co-authors Aravan Bidgoli, Wei Wei Chi, and Richard Tursky that discussed the use of convolutional neural networks for the inspection of robotically plastered surfaces.
