Ray Gastil and Don Carter Present at National Council for Preservation Education Conference Mon 26 Oct

Remaking Cities Institute Director Ray Gastil, and Senior Research Fellow Don Carter, will speak at the National Council for Preservation Education (NCPE) Fall 2020 Conference on Monday 26 October at 5:00pm ET. This will be a roundtable discussion of the issues brought up in the talks.

Gastil’s talk, "Adaptive Preservation: Responding to the Challenge at Scale," focuses on large scale adaptive reuse projects in Pittsburg, and Don Carter’s talk, "Remaking Small Post-Industrial Cities, and the talk by Rachel Weber, “The ‘Financialization’ of Urban Redevelopment: Implications for Historic Preservation” are available on the NCPE website, and in the embedded videos below.

NCPE is hosting the speakers on the theme of “Development: Respecting History While Acknowledging Change.” The live moderated discussion with all three speakers takes place on Monday 26 October.
