The School of Architecture is proud to co-present the 2021 Architectural Ceramic Assemblies Workshop (ACAW2021) along with our partners at Boston Valley Terra Cotta and the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning on Thursday 19 August from 9:00am-4:30pm.

Join us as teams from around the world consisting of industry experts and students alike showcase terra cotta designs that push the limits of what is possible with clay. Centered around themes of sustainability and biophilia, research and development of these projects have been known to be ground breaking and influential.

The event is hosted by John Krouse, President CEO of Boston Valley Terra Cotta and moderated by SoA Head Omar Khan. Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, founders of the firm Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects | Partners will deliver the opening keynote, and Mic Patterson, PhD, LEED AP+, Ambassador of Innovation & Collaboration at the Façade Tectonics Institute will deliver the closing keynote.
