HUMANS OF THE SoA: A Paid Photography Workshop Opportunity for Students with Kemuel Benyehudah

Join us in telling the SoA’s stories. Whose work do we see? Whose stories are told? We’re looking for students to join photographer Kemuel Benyehudah in documenting life at the School of Architecture in April and early May 2022. This is an opportunity to practice skills related to community-facing and human-centered design work while gaining familiarity with photographic techniques.

Students will be provided a stipend of $150 to collect a series of portraits of students, faculty, and staff in action. No formal photography or interview experience necessary. The final stories and photographs will be considered as part of the 2022 EX-CHANGE exhibition and publication and may be shared on the SoA’s social media channels.

To apply, please send a brief letter including:

  1. The stories at the SoA you would like to tell

  2. What interests you about photography?

  3. Some samples of your photography

Email your letter to Sarah Rafson, srafson@andrew.cmu.edu by Wednesday March 30, 11:59pm.
