Assistant Professor Erica Cochran Hameen, PhD Co-Chaired the 47th Annual National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) Conference and Exposition in Brooklyn held October 16-20, 2019. This year’s conference, themed Believe the Hype: A Global Collective of Industry Change Agents, had the largest attendance in NOMA history with over 1,300 attendees and 100 educational sessions and lectures focused on design strategies, design techniques, community and justice, business development, and innovation.
The conference also featured the 2019 Barbara G. Laurie Student Design Competition, which included an entry from Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture NOMAS students. Congratulations to the faculty and students who made this year’s event a great success!
