Freedom By Design Chapter Awarded 2020 NOMA-NAACP-SEED Award for Design Excellence in Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

The Carnegie Mellon Freedom By Design chapter has been awarded a 2020 NOMA-NAACP-SEED Award for Design Excellence in Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for the Weatherization Kit Project. The project aims to address housing inequalities by providing information and materials to help Pittsburgh families save money and energy in the winter months.

SoA Faculty & Students Help Make 47th Annual NOMA National Convention in Brooklyn a Success

Professor Erica Cochran Hameen Co-Chaired this year’s National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) Conference and Exposition in Brooklyn, which had the largest attendance in NOMA history. SoA students also participated in the 2019 Barbara G. Laurie Student Design Competition as part of the event.
