A feature wall for The Heinz Endowments upholds PROJECT RE_’s mission to reuse materials, rebuild communities, and restore lives. Through PROJECT RE_, the Carnegie Mellon University Urban Design Build Studio designed a system that transformed scrap steel into something of value while facilitating fabrication training by Trade Institute of Pittsburgh welding students. Together, the partners built more than just a wall.
