Call for Applications for the 2024 Delbert Highlands Travel Fellowship for SoA Alumni

This $12,000 award supports SoA alumni in the study of collections belonging to locales to promote the professional development of the awardee and contribute to the richness of our surroundings. All SoA alumni are eligible to apply. Applications are due on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 5:00pm EST.

Announcing the Spring 2023 SoA Awards: Applications due Tue 14 Mar

The School of Architecture is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Spring 2023 SoA Awards. Applications are due Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11:59pm ET. Awards are available to undergraduate and graduate students and recognize student work in public interest design, sustainability, real estate, and design and representation, as well as professional promise.

School of Architecture Fall 2022 Prospective Student Visits and Engagement

The SoA is excited to welcome undergraduate and graduate program prospective students to engage with us during the Fall 2022 semester. In-person tours, remote information sessions, and online one-on-one appointments via Zoom are available on select weekdays beginning September 12 through November 21 (unavailable October 17-21 due to Fall Semester Break).

Announcing the 2022-23 CMU School of Architecture Public Programs Series: Materiality

The Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture Public Programs announces our fall 2022 and spring 2023 series: Materiality. Materials shape the spaces around us. This series of events examines the tactile, structural, and visual qualities of the materials used in architecture practice. Events are free and open to the public, and eligible for AIA CEUs.

EX-CHANGE 2022 Exhibition Opens August 29 at Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture

The 2022 EX-CHANGE celebrates projects from first year through PhD programs through an exhibition in the CFA Great Hall, on view August 29-September 11, 2022. The exhibition, designed by means+methods, led by Aviva Rubin (B.Arch ‘07) and Carolynn Karp, will be accompanied by a catalog designed by Group Project, Jimmy Luu and Ryan Menefee (DC ’08, HNZ ’09).
