M.Arch Program Receives 8-Year NAAB Continuing Accreditation

Our Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree program has received an eight year term of Continuing Accreditation with a Plan to Correct from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Congratulations to Track Chair Sarosh Anklesaria and former Track Chair Kai Gutschow and the Master of Architecture students, staff and faculty.

Announcing Track Chair Updates for the M.Arch and AECM Programs

The SoA is pleased to announce that effective July 1, 2021 Sarosh Anklesaria will serve as the Track Chair of the Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program and Joshua D. Lee will serve as the Track Chair of the Master of Science and PhD in Architecture–Engineering–Construction Management (AECM) programs.

M.Arch Program Receives Initial Accreditation from NAAB

CMU’s Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program has been granted Initial Accreditation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). The accreditation is effective January 1, 2019, which means that past degrees awarded by the SoA, including the inaugural M.Arch graduating class of 2019, are considered accredited.

Gautam Thakkar (M.Arch ’19) Wins First Place, Sai Prateek Narayan (MUD ’19) Honorable Mention in The Future of My City Graduate Student Competition

The School of Architecture congratulates recent graduates Gautam Jagdish Thakkar (M.Arch ’19) for winning one of two first place prizes, and Sai Prateek Narayan Ramachandran (MUD ‘19) for receiving honorable mention, in The Future of My City German/US graduate student competition.

B.Arch Program Receives Maximum 8-Year NAAB Re-Accreditation, M.Arch Program Granted Initial Candidacy

The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program received the maximum allowable 8-year re-accreditation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) this fall. Also in 2018, the Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree program, re-introduced this past year, was granted initial candidacy.
