Teaching Professor Kristen Kurland was recently selected by Esri, Inc. as one of 23 women globally to be featured in the book Women and GIS: Mapping Their Stories . Her chapter "The Heart of a Giving Teacher" includes her work in GIS and Urban Design at CMU.

inter•punct is putting together a project discussing emergent and often radical issues latent in the educational environment that the organization feels are far too absent from current discourse. Following the footsteps of pamphlet architecture, clip-stamp-fold, and 'a few zines,’ the group is curating a collection of zines, and they invite you to be a part of this process.

The SoA congratulates alumna Carolina Tamayo (B.Arch ‘17), winner of the 2019 John Stewardson Memorial Fellowship in Architecture, and Elizabeth Levy (B.Arch ‘19), a top ten finalist. The Stewardson Fellowship is the oldest and most prestigious award for architecture students and graduates in Pennsylvania.
