Garret Wood-Sternburgh

Adjunct Faculty

Garret Wood-Sternburgh is Adjunct Faculty with the Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture.

Garret practices architecture in Pittsburgh’s Mt. Lebanon neighborhood at DRAW Collective, where he focuses on K-12 education and healthcare design in the greater Pittsburgh area. Prior to joining DRAW, he practiced in Ann Arbor and Detroit, MI and Philadelphia, PA. While in Philadelphia, he worked for Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown. He brings with him a strong background in digital fabrication with an emphasis in three- and five-axis CNC routing and welding. He received both his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan, where he studied under David Adjaye. In May 2022, Garret’s research paper “Digital Digital Fabrication Fabrication'' was published and presented at the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture conference.
