Wei Liang, P.E., LEED AP BD+C is a Graduate Instructor and a PhD Candidate in Building Performance and Diagnostics at the Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture (SoA). His thesis topic is indoor environmental quality (IEQ) assessments using robotic systems. His research includes deploying mobile sensing platforms for IEQ physical measurements, post-occupancy evaluations using social robots, and exploring the spatial distribution of IEQ with Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) implementations. 

Wei received his Bachelor of Science in Acoustics at Nanjing University in 2012 and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at University of California, Merced in 2014. Before joining CMU, he worked as a mechanical engineer and energy modeler for four years in the healthcare, life science, and higher education sectors.
