Manuel Rodríguez Ladrón de Guevara

Manuel Ladrón de Guevara is a PhD candidate in Computational Design and Studio Instructor at Carnegie Mellon University, and former research intern at Adobe Research. He is a computational designer, roboticist, and researcher on machine learning and art. His research focuses on neural painting algorithms and the impact of natural language in the design process. As a licensed architect, he has worked in the industry in Spain and the UK, and taught architecture studios, machine learning for non-computer scientists, and Pre-College education at Carnegie Mellon. He holds a B.Arch - M.Arch in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and a Master of Advanced Architectural Design (MAAD) from Carnegie Mellon. He is a co-founder of the Creative Artificial Intelligence and Design Launchpad (CRAIDL) AI research group at Carnegie Mellon’s Code Lab.
