VICTOR F ‘TREY’ TRAHAN III, FAIA is President and Principal-in-Charge of Trahan Architects. Trahan has been recognized and published both nationally and internationally for innovative design and creative use of materials. An accomplished designer, he is a 2010 recipient of the P/A Award, the 2005 Architecture Review Emerging Architect Award, and three National AIA Honor Awards. Trahan is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and was elected to the AIA College of Fellows at age 45 for design. The work of Trahan Architects is intensely personal, historically grounded, and aesthetically sublime. The work is rooted in place, with each project informed by the local geography, culture, history, and the client’s needs, and sharing a high level of innovation and technological sophistication coupled with a sense of quiet and experiential beauty. Trahan has won three international design competitions in Beijing China and was one of thirteen architects selected internationally to design a house of the New Orleans Lower Ninth Ward as part of Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation project; recently completed projects include the Louisiana State Museum.
