DALE CLIFFORD is Assistant Professor of Architecture at CMU and principle of the Arizona based firm Binary Design. Clifford was a founding member of the Emerging Materials Technology group at the University of Arizona, a research program aimed at the analysis, testing and modeling of traditional and new materials and performance based building assemblies. His interests include examining natural forming processes, patterns and systems to develop building technologies that make sensorial, sensible and judicious use of materials.
