FARSHID MOUSSAVI is Principal of Farshid Moussavi Architecture in London. Prior to establishing FMA in 2011, Moussavi was a co-founding Principal of Foreign Office Architects. FOA has produced numerous critically acclaimed and award winning projects, most notably the Yokohama International Ferry Terminal in Japan. Recent projects include the John Lewis Department Store and Cineplex in Leicester and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland. Moussavi is Professor in Practice at Harvard GSD and is author of two books based on her research and teaching, ‘The Function of Ornament’ and ‘The Function of Form’.
