LORCAN O’HERLIHY has designed and built within the bounds of real world politics, optimistic in embracing the role of architecture as a catalyst of change, since the founding of LOHA in 1990. O’Herlihy was recognized by the Architectural League of New York as one of eight ‘Emerging Voices’ internationally, and elevated to the College of Fellows by the American Institute of Architecture in 2009. LOHA has been published in over 20 countries and recognized with over 100 awards, including the AIA Los Angeles Firm of the Year. O’Herlihy couples his professional practice with academic and intellectual pursuits, teaching and lecturing widely over the past decade, including at the Architectural Association in London, Southern California Institute of Architecture, Cranbrook Academy of Art, University of Michigan, Columbia University, University of Southern California, and at Washington D.C.’s National Building Museum.
