TOWARDS A NEW AUTHENTICITY In our practice, we have been especially interested in hybrid qualities of matter, space, movement, and light and their ability to generate new effects and new identities. We wonder if hybrids can be a model for a new authentic?

MARGARET P GRIFFIN, FAIA is co-founder and principal of the Los Angeles based Griffin Enright Architects, a collaborative practice recognized for its noteworthy and forward thinking designs. Their work combines innovation and experimentation to explore cultural complexities relative to the built environment. Published extensively, their work has received over fifty awards for design excellence. In addition to guiding a progressive practice, Margaret has taught graduate and undergraduate architectural design for more than twenty-three years and is currently on the design faculty at SCI-Arc. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia.
